NOTE THE NEW DAY OF THE WEEK.

The next meet will be on:

THURSDAY, February 18
7:00 PM

Location:

Glasgow, DE 19702

These are our locations:

Border Cafe
483 Stanton-Christiana Road
Newark, DE 19713

Hibachi (Across from Governors Square on 40):
1160 Pulaski Highway
Bear, DE 19701

Red Robin route 40:

Speaking with Alex (Alxsti) and others, we've also decided to attempt to mix up the locations. Right now we are a pretty small group so moving the meet to other places, I think, would be fairly easy. If you have any suggestions post them up.

So what does everyone think for the first date this summer?

What do you guys think is a good day of the week Wednesday? Thursday? Friday?

I like Wednesday and we could start April 15.

My vote for the first date is Thurs April 16th. It's starting to warm up and hopefully the 'April showers' won't be occurring on our meet nights this year.

We are definitely open to suggestions for other locations in the area also. All I ask is for a open parking lot that is well lit and a nice spot to get food/drinks is a plus! Try to stick to the Newark/Bear/New Castle area since it's a good middle spot for the Wilmington/Hockessin members AND the Middletown/Smyrna/Elkton guys.

^^Agreed.

I like Thursday also, however, I probably won't be able to attend on Thursdays for the rest of the semester (mid May) as I have a class from 7-8:15 every Thursday. I mean I guess I could drop by after that briefly but most likely I wouldn't be able to.

Well Wednesdays work for me too. I think we went with Thursdays last year because BWW had their wingless special that night. Boneless Thursdays and original Tuesdays. Wednesday is $4 long islands though! Lol.. so whenever.. we need some more input here guys!

I also will be taking night classes this summer. Not sure what day though.

I like Wednesday, something to do midweek. Not to mention, every time I remember going to BWW on Thursday meets we either waited a long ass time or ended up at Red Robin.

I def like the midweek idea Chris.

Anyone else with some ideas?

Alex, where's Stewart's at? On route 40 too?

Stewart's is on 40 in Bear. Governor's Square shopping center. I'd toss in my input, but I've never even made it to one of these and if all goes as planned I'll probably be at the beach all summer. Stewart's is good though, and the parking situation would be good there as well.

We should get a poll going for days. Whatever wins put it up for the biweekly event and the loser up for once a month or something?

Yes please, I'm in PA but hang out in Wilmington... I'm new and want to get to know some subie guys, but can't necessarily get down to Dover much.

Well we'll never have them in Dover as the vast majority of the guys (Brewhaha is the exception) live up north.

I know they just opened up a Hooters on Kirkwood highway across from the Western YMCA but I've heard they have no liquor license. It is a huge parking lot though and pretty well lighted.

There's also another BWW on the corner of route 7 and Kirkwood Highway that just opened a few months ago. Their parking lot isn't that big however.

Yeah, I also live in Milford. But I've been working in Wilmington/New Castle lately, so it's on the way home.

By the way Khalid, I think making this a standing bi-weekly event is a great idea. I give you mad kudos.

And as a heads up, I won't be available that Thursday or Friday (16 & 17th) I'll be going to Florida for a wedding.

Haha yeah. I mean I wouldn't mind driving down to Dover a couple times this summer to be honest. The drive down route 1 is great...

~~~> xreign under alxsti's name ok so i was a little intoxicated and also i did not knotice that this was a meet thread. However, drunk as hell i stil think that i have a valid point. why don't we change the meet to add Hibatchi and jakes burgers as well as bww & Red Robin? just my .02 but it been boring going to the same things over and over. Or even iron hill in wilm or something. ya know just different. The waterfront is very appealing and has some cool spots to take pics of our cars. IDK just an idea as for now going to md to watch alex blow his car u p on the dyno haha j/k. peace!
