Default engine ticking sounds?

So I just back from my first autocross of the season with the car in its new form. for this season we have added:
borla headers
sti cat back
cobb intake
STI engine and tranny mount
STI hardened control arm bushings
Greddy Emanage
P1 suspension (for now, until my bilsteins get fixed)

The race was pretty good, nice and wet and I did fairly well.

Today the car seems to running a little rough. the exhuast is rattling on the rear diff cover, which is has never done before, and the engine is making a sort of "ticking" noise. The engine seems to have a lot of side to side movement. With the STI engine mounts it was stable, and did not move at all.

The alternator, or AC compressor are making a sort of whining sound, which I have never noticed before.

Can anyone tell me if the ticking sounds, and/ or engine movement sounds like piston slap, or something else? I plan on pulling the plugs tonight and checking them for damage. Is there anything else I could check without pulling the heads off?

thanks.

jeff
