Default 2006 impreza H7 harness upgrade info please

Hey does anyone know if there is a diy step by step guide for how to upgrade a stock wiring harness with a ground relay and power to be drawn directly from the battery? Search yields people telling others to do this, but not how to do it. Any help appreciated.

If a wiring harness/relay upgrade kit exists please post that also, Or if you would like to help/show me how to do this leave me a pm.
This is for H7 Halogens on a 2006 2.5i impreza btw
Thanks in advance.

You just build a wiring harness with a relay that draws power directly from the battery. And hook the relay to be triggered by the stock H7 plug.

There are wiring diagrams floating around.

i have done this on my GC. it's pretty simple but if you don't know how to wire a relay it could be confusing.

send me a pm if you want a hand doing it.

I bought a pre-made harness for the HIDs on my 2.5i from Lightwerkz, and minifreak helped me with install. Lightwerkz also makes harnesses for halogen projectors I believe.

Relay, inline fuse, wiring and connectors shouldn't cost more than 25. Go with 12 gage wiring, you can buy them in small 5~6 feet packages from both Lordco and CT.
