my AC sucks

I havn't used air conditioning for about a month and on full blast I got very little cold air...just alot of almost cold air pushing on me...I know my AC works because in Gorgia I used it alot while sitting in traffic. But then I moved back to chicago and didn't use it at all becuase it was...well snowing still. Now that it is warmer out..I would like to use the AC but I get nothing. Anyone have Ideas? places to check?

i did this...and its super dumb... I fogot to turn the knob to full cold...

i was pissed thought it was broken then realized it was in the middle..

I think you have to push the A/C button or else you're justing blowing vent. At least that's how it is on the older model year controls.

nah, neither them...I even turned off the car to see if there was a short in the system also...I think my AC is dead

isn't your car still under warranty?

...that would be my first step.

sitting and idling with the a/c on for long periods is very BAD for the system. my aunt had to have her entire a/c system replaced on her VW cabrio at about 30,000 miles, because she sits for inordinate periods of time idling with the a/c on full blast. all of the mineral oil that lubricates the compressor leaked out, and no lubrication = eventual catastrophic metal on metal contact.

Well I am going to bring ym car in to get it checked out...it seems to be DOA. A friend of mine said I might have had a rock puncture it. ACk ah well time to bring the scoob to the dealership for its last oil change, tranny change and I guess have them check on the AC unit.

you shoulda let me look at it first...they are gonna charge you if it's a hole in the condensor...unless they like you and warranty if...but somehow i doubt they will...just show them you have done all your services and crapola.

When u free jeremy? Mabye we can do cams, j/s and radiator? Then I can also wire-in my Val unit and sodder in the temporary wire job I am going to do on the gagues.
