Default Agile Tuned 06 vf43 wrx w/ RA's at the drag strip

Just got back from Pittsburgh Raceway Park. I ran the car once last year and managed a 12.9 @ 107... but that was with a mixed up gear set RA 1-2, sti 3-4, and RA 5 (long story). Anywho, I got that straightened out and today I got two runs in with a best of 12.7 @ 110.8!!! It's capable of better but she's my daily driver.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1581303

Run #1 : Spun the tires all the way through 1st. Shifted pretty easy after that.

60'........1.78
1/8........8.18 @ 86.71
1/4........12.79 @ 110.86

Less than high quality video of my first run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPmzZSdurY8

Run #2 : bogged it... couldn't hear a thing cus there was a nasty turbo'd rx-7 in the other lane makin' all kinds of noise.

60'.........2.06
1/8........8.56 @ 83.94
1/4........13.15 @ 109.22

The car dyno'd @ 304 whp 319tq. Tuned by Hill at Agile. The #'s are prob a bit conservative since it was 100+ in the shop when it was tuned.

how strong are the RA gears compared to stock (i know that is kind of subjective lol)-but are they a good investment for ~300whp/ftlbs?

And congrats on 12's-that's a quick damn car

People talk sh** on them all the time and there are literally volumes of info on the subject, arguing both sides, but I've seen them side by side with OEM gears and they are meatier and the ratio's are much better for supporting moderate torque loads. They even whine a bit in the first 3 gears. I personally love them, but I realize you can't drive them like they are bullet proof... they have their place in the market. but lets not get too off topic here.

oh also, Rallispec uses the ISF process on them.. makes them smooth and shiny. It helps with longevity and reduces friction. AGAIN, LETS NOT TURN THIS INTO AN RA DEBATE.... PLEASE!

Do it!! If I had it to do over again I'd prob go straight for a 20g. seems like the perfect turbo for the 2.5. But my vf43 was cheap and does pretty well... I love my car.

What RPM range were you launching at??? My best last year was 13.30 but I've got my stock trans and was afraid to push it and was launching at about 4k

I bounce it around 4500 and catch it in boost. Wheel spin was ridiculous on the first run.

I wouldn't worry about first and second gear as much as third if I were you.

Stock injectors. I think the gears were like 1600 + labor.
