Default Infiniti planning its first diesel engine for the upcoming M-Series

Quote:
Speaking with our insiders, 4wheelsnews was able to find out that Infiniti is currently planning to introduce its first vehicle powered by a diesel engine. It appears that the new V6 diesel engine will make its debut together with the new M-Series sedan, next year at the Geneva Motor Show.

Additionally, Nissan will also introduce this new V6 power plant on the Maxima but this is not all: the Infiniti G-Series, EX Crossover and the FX line will also receive this new engine. Regarding the 4 cylinder engines (diesel or petrol), our source said the these engines are not planned for Infiniti, so do not expect small engines!

This motor has been in the works for some time as Infiniti is currently starting up in the UK/Europe. A diesel option is almost mandatory to sell over there.

As far as looks, the M isn't cutting edge on the styling front, but I son't think it could be called "ugly". Blah maybe.

Put the V6 diesel in a 4dr truck or the Pathfinder and I'm there! Finally a midsized truck that gets resonable milege!

There is a new engine is 3.7 VQ with direct injection..
Cant wait for Z to get that engine.
more power and better fuel economy..

Same for a diesel engine.. Has lots of potential
