Default What do these numbers tell you?

Did another comp test and this time the numbers were way different. First test was done pulling 1 plug at a time.
1. 125
2. 125
3. 146
4. 135

This test was with all plugs out plugging the tester into the hole

1. 180
2. 185
3. 160
4. 170

Sounds high to me, also , this motor is supposedly built with Arias low compression pistons. Do those numbers seem high?

I would think closer to the 125's I was getting before. But aside from that, the spread is the only thing that makes me go hmmmmm.

I know a 9.7:1 EJ22E engine should be around 185 psi OE.

Not sure how low your compression is supposed to be with your build.

A compression test is supposed to be performed with all spark plugs removed so the engine can move as free as possible. It lends itself to accurate results as you are not fighting the other pistons building compression while you're testing the one. Also makes for an easier task on your starter.
