is there any base map setup to just put the ecu in the car and run it but not mess with any of the settings?
or do i need to just take my car to get tuned and let them install and mess with the settings? just wondering if it is safe to just plug into the car and will the car run normal without messing with any of the settings? -Andrew

The base setting is pretty safe - it's even easy to correct for injector changes with it too, but you will need a proper map done for it.
It will also flash your check engine light if it picks up any knock and you can easily pull some timing out of it if you do get any detonation at all....... I have one in my GT-R and it's a very good system. |

from what i understand they are set with a base map from the factory that should run the car as stock, but they are made to use a Apexi boost controller. with a stock boost controller it might not work properly. would obviously be the best idea to just get it tuned straight away

no...and it knocks when reved real high..after I tuned mine it doesnt knock and I run the afr around 12's at WOT at 1.3bar...with the stock map it runs 10's at 1.0bar and the more boost it doubles the knock...so to sum it up AFR is to low timing is to high and running it above 1 bar= ![]() |
