Tune Information and comments
Tuned by me, on Emery's loading chassis dyno without management that can steady state (don't laff LOL). I bought the Utec before the western NY area had a dyno so it wasn't a cost-effective priority at the time. As I said the car runs E85 from the pump, sometimes a challenge requiring black arts and magic in the winter but the benefits are enough that I'll never run gas again, although I keep my utec switch ready with a 93 map for on the fly switching). I've been running it since July with amsoil and I have the data to back up everything is running clean: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...postcount=1969

Fuel:
The 850cc injectors run 85% at peak near redline, between 60-70% right after spoolup with fueling at .75 at torque peak (thats 7.3:1 AFR) to about .85 (8.3:1) [none of this corrected for the class 3 ethanol blend mind you] with a peak EGT of only 1425 degrees F!!!
Boost:
Boost with the ****ty square wave GM BCS peaks at 25 PSI at torque peak and woodpeckers nicely down to 19-20 near readline.
Timing:
Timing from ~10 degrees at prespool to 20 at peak torque to 34 at peak power.
AVCS

Fuel spec for the FIC's (derived from scratch :-/):

GM BCS info:

Est* MAF scale:

*Fuel trims are spot on in closed loop but I have no idea if its scaled right up top... :-/

Utec has some different requirements:
Fixed latency at 1500usec
Injector scale: 850
Stock Injector Scale: 550 (yes I retained the exact numbers without fudging) (Instead fudging came with the VE map for speed density)
+25% on the fuel map to achieve .75 +19% to achieve .85

Notes:
Ambient temp: 67 degrees. IAT's still 85-95 degrees, TMIC had a fan on it but theres no way it was cool, just alcohol ftw.

No meth, just E85 from the pump. Im not even using it to its full potential by keeping the turbo within its efficiency range up top, and the torque curve has a bit of a buzz cut because its still the winter blend of E70, so I'm running 25 psi peak, I could easily run 27 and more timing and pick up a bunch more torque (boost spiked to 26 on one of the pulls and yielded 367ft/lbs as an example) could still push more boost down low with this turbo easily.

You could push 27 psi on your stock block, careful , how long have you been pushing 25psi? Holy torque E85 is so much fun....

I don't think the valves float until about 30 or so . Been running 25 since last august which toasted my stock clutch in 4th gear pulls, I was still able to run it for two autox events though. Compression was fine last I checked, I've only had maybe ~3 occurrences of det in the past year and they were probably closer to the onset phase rather than serious. EGTs have passed 1600 not more than 2 or 3 times ever. I'm a bit more worried about the transmission at this point.

U
Man, get a WBO2 in that thing pronto! Also, your AVCS could be improved greatly for spool and to help with topend HP. Other than that, looks good.

My 5mt bit the dust with my 18g and e85@360wtq so yeah that would be one of my concerns too...

Really nice setup. Probably pulls great. I would guess 12.1 at 114. However I hope you prove me wrong

how did you come up with your AVCS numbers for 4800-redline below 1 load?

also, whats the reason for the drop n rise in teh avcs at 4400-5600 rpm?

and cars run 11's with 300whp on that dyno?

I would copy tomei's avcs numbers from here

http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/news/Report-EJ25-V1.html

35* at 3600 tapering to 0* at 6400 rpm.
