Default FS: Computer RAM

OCZ Platinum Edition PC2-8500 2GB memory sticks (x two), for total of 4GB. Runs at 1066 MHz, 5-5-5@2.2V. Gaming RAM, so can be overclocked; to 2.5V if I'm not mistaken. Actual polished, stainless heat sinks.

Just wasn't compatible with my motherboard in particular, at any setting.

Retails for $130 on NCIX's site (and have receipt), asking $60 obo

Nice ram. Cheap and good. Did you ever try adjusting the timing so it would boot properly?

Those would be platinum heatsinks and not stainless heatsinks. Good price though.

Maybe post which motherboard you tried it in so whoever is interested wouldn't end up in the same result as you.

My Gigabyte brand motherboard just didn't like them at any setting or combination. Some settings wouldn't even post.

I believe 'Platinum' is just what OCZ calls this series of their RAM. But if it's actually made of platinum, lemme know, cause I can get a lot more for em melted down then!

hmmm, do they happen to fit in laptops? I need to upgrade my laptop's ram, as I only have 1GB (old school).
