If I have a small container of paint that matches my car can it be applied to a chip? I know I could get a decent look myself but if an expert is available Im all for it.

I want to hold off until Alex confirms. No point in posting it if we can't go.

BOZZ will not be a good idea that day. They are booked for the whole day for installations, so it will be busy there as is.

How about Bill's and Chris's place?

I can't do that time in Fremont. If it's in a location closer to Oakland/Berkeley, yes. I'm not sure where you are changing the location to, so I can't really provide an answer. Sorry.

Exclamation NEED FEEDBACK!

Okay guys, I need some help. Looks like Bozz and Redstar are a "NO GO". Looks like we have two ways we can go with this....

1) Find another place (with a bathroom, somewhere in the Penninsula/South Bay) that can hold 10 cars (and their drives) for the entire day.

2) Move back the date.

Let me know what you think. I wanna hear some feedback.

I'm open to either moving the date or alternate location if available. Just keep us posted.

Thanks-

brainstorming for potential locations starts now:

Subaru Dealerships? (probably iffy, but ideal for us)

Wheel & tire Dealers or mechanics with back parking lot or extra space (gives them visability to our members)

Any private space with bathroom access:
- BAIC member's office parking lot
- BAIC member's house
- BAIC member's church or similiar that may have unused parking lot on a saturday

Anybody else have any ideas?

How about UCSC? We have FAT parking lots and restroom won't be an issue. Heck, after or before that we can go for a drive too!

Yeah I'd be a bit worried about using a college lot without having permission from the campus. I'm sure the campus rent-a-cops and campus police would salivate over a lot full of somewhat modified cars .

Cheers, Joe

I'd say scramble to find a new place. If no new place is found by Thursday, postpone it.
Why the restriction of the Penninsula/South Bay. Because of the Dent Wizard? How about at one of the Autocrosses but off to the side/out of view?

Too crowded, there is no off to the side/out of view in the SFR SCCA. The San Francisco Region is one of the most active (if not the most active) regions in the US. If everyone that showed up was an SCCA member and was racing that day (and the rulebook allows it and the SFR approves it) it might be okay but otherwise it's not the best venue especially considering that the drivers have work assignments and driving assignments that would take priority.

well, we do have campus police around but I don't think they care much. We have visitors all the time. Heck, just say you all are here to visit few club members. Jack, Andy, Aaron, me (Leo) and few others. I work on my car in the lot from time to time and they never did care. If you guys are serious, I could give them a call and ask.
