Smile Precision PT6262 STI at the Drag Strip

Well, I took my car out to the drag strip on pump gas with the new Precision PT6262 installed. It had rained earlier in the day so they were only allowing us 1/8 mile passes

My previous best with the T4 .81 SC61 is 7.72 @ 90.17 with 19psi and 18* peak timing which netted me 11.9 @ 117mph.

With the Precision PT6262 I ran 7.60 @ 93.9 with some crappy Kumho Admiral tires. Boost was set at 19psi with 17.5* peak timing

Wow 94mph in the 1/8th is moving pretty good! What were your 60ft times?

That's interesting your track allowed you 1/8th miles passes. I'm pretty sure my local tracks just close if there is a hint of rain.

There's a huge difference in gearing.

My car would pick up 29mph on the big end with the old SC61 and go 89mph in the 1/8th, so take that as it is. I'm trapping 5mph more in the 1/8th with this turbo

Does that 07 limited come with the taller gearing? That would change the difference in gearing a bit, but I bet there is a bigger difference in weight... juan's car is rather light if I recall correctly...

The gearing does play a huge role though. Two weekends ago I went 7.60 but only at 91mph. To compare apples to apples, that three mile per hour is a huge difference being that the OP and myself have the same gearing. That car is def truckin OP, congrats!

Juan, you crack me up man. Hows the trans doing, almost in. Remember that PM i sent, well my trans happens to be 100%, it was a severely warped pressure plate that gave me the problems. Unfortunately, the new clutch cant take my race map power yet, hopefully it can when it breaks in..

Good job Trevor, I have no doubt the car will run mid 11s @ low 120s on pump gas. Now stop screwing around and get some C16 30psi+ passes.

Saw your mod list. You got a low boost pass in, now i hope its time to play mid 11's on pump, im sure you can go faster. try to nail a high 10 on c16!! it can be done.

That's all my goal is. I think it will be achievable on relatively mild boost levels. ~27-28psi

This car isn't really a drag car, although its a lot of fun and a lot cheaper than what it is truly intended to do (road race)

and ur a huge ghey..

his 07 ltd weighs at LEAST 300lb more than your car. I'd rather have navi, leather seats, sunroof and a sub in the trunk and lose a few tenths than be as ghey as you.

94 with 3600+lbs is not bad at all, congrats. now like everyone else says, turn up the wick!
