Default FS PA: Established 50 Gallon Reef Aquarium

Hi all. I'm going to be moving to Pittsburgh here soon, and unfortunately, I won't be able to be taking my tank with me...

Tank- 50 gallon 36"x18"

Stand- black

Top- glass tops(single crack up the middle of each)

Filtration
Seaclone 100 Protein skimmer
Aquaclear 50 Hang on the back filter(set up to be a makeshift biological refugium type filter)
Aquaclear 50 Powerhead

Lighting
2x 175watt metal halide retrofit lights.(do not work, reason is unknown to me. I have 4 bulbs, 2 20,000K and 2 16,000K Both sets old, would recommend new 14,000K bulbs)
quick fix for the lack of halides- 1 96 watt 6,000K power compact light (shown in pictures, not for sale)

rock/sand
Approx. 70lbs of crushed coral/live sand
approx. 55lbs of fugi live rock (cost me around $500 to purchase)

Corals
2 large moon polyp rocks
1 dying/dead orange montipora. (died in process of finding a replacement light. should have halides

Fish
1 Tomato Clownfish

eats anything I'll give her, frozen, live, or flake/pellets

1 Blue Spot Puffer

eats any prepared food I'll give to him, he'll eat frozen invertabrates, and will eat most unwanted, and wanted inverts. He has completely cleared my tank of bristle worms, and has cured several rocks which I have added to my tank a nusance worms/slugs/ and the like.so no shrimp, crabs, lobsters, or tube worms should be added, unless you want it to become a quick meal. However, he has left all my corals and anemones alone

My tank will mostly take care of itself, add an autofeeder, light timer, and an autotop off and it will.

I was hoping to get in the range of $700 OBO. I'm also open to trades(anyone got a EZ30 layin around, or perhaps a set of team dynamics pro rally 1's wrapped in snows? Speedlines perhaps?). I'd much rather not part this out

a couple more pics
The purple stuff you see on the glass is called coraline algae, which is a sign of clean healthy water

And of the lights that will come with the tank

This is a nice tank set up. I have a 50 gal reef as well, its great for someone who wants to get into the hobby. Good Luck with the sale!

Thanks. I loved it. Corals seemed to thrive in that tank while I had the halides on as well. that monti was half it's size when I first got it.

If you can figure out what's wrong with the light, This will be perfect for anyone. I might dig into the ballast here soon, and see if I can find something

I know someone out there in the maic world is after a tank to get started with, and I'm flexible with the price, just make an offer, a reasonable one won't be passed up.

It would involve several 5 gallon buckets with sealable tops... (old salt buckets, I could probably find some)
And I would recommend a SUV
Put about 4 gallons of water in one bucket, and all the fishes in that bucket.
put all the sand/crushed coral in the bottom of another bucket, with as much of the rock as you can fit in it, fill with water.
fill more bucket/empty milk jugs/ect with all but about 10 gallons of the remaining water left in the tank.
Place the tank/stand in the vehicle, and place the buckets inside/around the tank/stand

Pittsburgh is about 3.5 hours away, and I'll probably be doing a bit of moving around, and I only wish to put the fish though the stress of the move only once... I may set up another tank after i get settled in, but I'm not sure.

The work of transport/set up is quite tiring, but I will help in both, and if well worth it for the personality these 4 fish have.

It's a sad day. the lawnmower blenny died today while I was off getting the hg done. I think I've had him for 5 years when I first started into the hobby.
