Default what turbo? built ej22t, avcs 207 heads, and 6 speed

Motor is almost finished.. car will be used as a daily - occasional rallyx and track day

Built ej22t block bored .20 over with stock crank, wiseco pistons, manley forged rods, and piston squirters.

Will be using v7 jdm sti big port heads with avcs and a v7 sti tmic.

Car also currently has a 6 speed.

I have a vf23 in the car now, with supporting mods on a stock ej205 longblock. With the 6 speed, the revs seem to climb so fast, that Im not really worried so much about spool...

Im expecting the avcs to have a huge impact on spool as well...

Im curious what turbos you guys would choose....
Im thinking about a blouch td06 18g 8cm2

also trying to keep internally gated - dont want the ewg noise, and I dont want to try to squeeze a dump tube back into the dp...

Go TD06-20g with an 8cm2 housing and externally gated.. You will not be disappointed...

Ive discussed this with a few friends and came to the conclusion that the 20g is basically a waste when you can get a green that will spool similarly but give more power...

Id really rather not go ewg either - Im thinking I might not have a choice though...

the dom 2.5 and 3.0 are nice, and ball bearing so they will spool quicker and you will need something 20g td06 8cm2 or bigger if you plan on revving past 7500

Time to go GT3076R twinscroll. You'll love it!!!! I have a similar build, except using '06 USDM WRX heads.

Green or similar would be an awesome choice.
