Default 2.5RS intake vs Legacy intake

Anyone know if the intake for 2001 2.5RS is the same for the 2.5L Legacy engine? I wanted to add the intake pipe to my '02 Legacy Outback, but wasn't sure if the 2.5RS intake pipe would fit correctly.

Thanks!

It should fit. As far as I know the engines are identical. As long as they are both MAP based intakes you should be fine.

This may sound stupid, but how can I find out if I've got MAP or MAS based intake system? Any 2.5RS owners (or Legacy owners) here can tell me what you've got?

Thanks,

The Impreza has two holes in the inner fender, the Legacy and Forester has one, corresponding to the rear hole.

So, an Impreza GanzFlow will not fit a Legacy - you need a Legacy version. The legacy version will fit both but it is harder to get the bends in stock to ship.

The 2000+ models use a MAP sensor.

Thanks for the info. Do you have the bends for legacy in stock now? I'm interested in getting the intake plus the K&N filter.

I guess I'd need to know if I install the intake, will it triggle any CEL for the MAP sensor?

Thanks!

I have the bends on order but they are delayed - they ship "1st come 1st serve", and there are two people ahead of you in the line, so order now !!
