I am doing a 6mt swap into my 04 forester xt. It's almost done except for one thing. First here is a parts list.
05 sti 6mt R180 rear end Wrx auto drive shaft 04 sti axles (all 4) 04 5x100 sti rear hubs 07 sti rack and pinion neetronics dccd controller I bought everything but the dccd controller from an un-named NASIOC member that supplies swap parts. He promised that I could use my Subaru 4/2 pot set up. I told him I had heard conflicting stories on whether the rear calipers would work but he assured me he had done it before. So after waiting for 3 months for all the parts to show up (was told I would have a week wait) the install began. Everything was going smoothly until it was time to bolt up the breaks. First my 2 pot rotors wouldn't fit. I called up the shop the parts came from and was told it was because I had the H-6 upgrade and not 06-07 WRX rotors. So I drove 3 hours one way to get the WRX rotors. When I got back to the shop I found out I had purchased the same rotors I already had. So I order 04 sti rotors. They fit over the parking break, but the Subaru 2 pot calipers don't fit (rotors too thick). So a couple of questions...... 1. Does anyone have the sti hubs and Subaru 4/2 pot set up, if so which rotor is required. 2. Or did I get snowed when I ordered parts. 3. If so, I am going to have to go with brembos on the rear. Does anyone know if 16.5 rims will clear the brembos in the rear. I know they will not in the front. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

Love to answer your question but, don't know the answer. I think this would be better in the brake section though.

youre going to have a hard time finding the correct rear rotor to go along with the rear RED 2 pots...
I would honestly sell those rear calipers and buy a set of rear brembos - makes things a LOT easier... I highly doubt you will get 16" rims to fit over the rear brembos... So, looks like you need rear brembos and a new set of rims... |

I *believe* there was a year or two of (non-USDM) STIs in the GC/GF series that had the larger R180 parking brake, but still used the FHI 2 pots.
I would start by browsing Disk Brake Australia's website. Then move on to the UK and Aussie WRX boards. Just ideas..... |

That thread seems to indicate you need: STi Two Pot Brake Rotor (Need 2 For New Install) 26710FA130 1 -> 178.90 Or DBA part for reference, 656 : http://www.dba.com.au/view_product.p...series_id=4806 Further reading indicates you might need the backing plates to mount the FHI 2-pot calipers. 26655FA020 & 26655FA030 for R180 |

You can use the STi backing plate with the 2 pot. You will need the V6 2 pot rotors in order to clear the ebrake assembly on the STi hubs.
