Default Planning trip to seattle

I'm planning a trip to Seattle with a few friends on the 24th.
We're planning to go to the outlets first in the afternoon, then drive down to
downtown and find a hotel to stay for one night.
I haven't been to the states much so any suggestion where we could go?

Mall shopping is now top of our list since the ladies insisted at least going to a few malls.

I was just about to say that.

There is plenty to do in D/T Seattle. If you are already going to the outlets, you can get the majority of your shopping done there. If not, you can always check out Bellevue Mall, that isn't too far from Seattle.

Bellevue is a great place and it has a big mall, good restarunts, and a movie theater in the area. I have stayed at a few places but good value and close to everything is Silver cloud in. it's not 5 star but a very good 4 star place for just over a $100 a night.

+1

It's nice down there at night and lots to do.

If you're in the seattle area you should check out:
pikes place market
space needle
kerry park (if you have a camera)
art museum

Pike Market is like Lonsdale Quay..lots of fish. So if ladies want shoe-shopping I'd recommend you stick to malls.

If you are staying in Seattle, check out the Watertown Seattle. I'd say its a good 3.5-4 star place.

http://www.watertownseattle.com/

It is close to Northgate mall and the hotel has a free shuttle to other malls in Seattle.

The outlet mall (the one at Tulalip) is pretty good. There are a few malls on the way, including one just south of the outlet (I think) with a Macy's and stuff. That should be enough for the ladies.

For the hotel, Ramada downtown, Days Inn, etc. are all basic hotels, not great/not bad. Close enough to walk to downtown if you are going for drinks, etc. Ramada has (or had) 3-4 Japanese students working the desk, if that's any value for you. I reckon there may be a flood of VIC'ers staying there now... Group discount?
