Default 2.2l n/a with wrx manifold? fitment issue...

i tried to bolt on my wrx manifold, but the coolant hose and thermostat cover/coolant elbow were obstructing the manifold...

do i need the wrx coolant elbow and hose or am i doing it wrong somehow?

stock coolant elbow will bolt but it will be facing the complete opposite way you want

you need a turbo water pump with the METAL elbow - while you are in there you should get a gimmik cooler thermostat. your stock lower radiator hose does not need to be modified to run the turbo water pump either so its a win win. after you get the water pump swapped the manifold should work perfectly. you will also need to cap off 2 of the nipples on the water pump because the turbo version has nipples for an oil cooler that uses coolant, which im guessing you dont have so they will need to be capped
