Default 08 Wrx Wheel Tire Problem. HELP

So i live in new york city. Recently had my 4 wheels balanced and guy told me that all 4 wheels are dented. He said its an easy fix. But, since i always wanted to get different wheels and tires i thought to change them. What will be a safe tire size and wheel size for my 08 wrx hatch not to be in this situation again. As of now i am stock. this is what i thought of getting. Wheels Enkel ekm3 17.7.45mm and tires Potenza RE760 Sport 225 55/60 17..... My second choice is ASA JH9 18.8.45mm tires Potenza RE760 Sport 225 55/60 18......
By the way my 08 wrx stock rims tires are for sale ( Easy fix ) $700 for all 4

dented wheels means too little pressure in the tires
and the tires are likely damaged internally due to this happening

this is bad juju

you will likely want at least 36psi....maybe 38psi

good advice. i also run like 36psi. i also live in ny but the roads by you are much worse than by me. you need more sidewall on the tire. that will help too.

You're going to have rubbing issues with a tire that much taller than stock. You'll rub on the fender, strut, or both. You might be able to get away with a 225/50-17, but that's as tall as I'd suggest.

and test fit ONE before you BUY

I'd look at a 235/45 and if the difference is lost on you, do more research

I know that and most of the rest of us know that

but the OP d000d thinks he needs baloons on his wheels when all he really needs is enough pressure in the tires to keep the wheels from bending

a 235/45 at 36-38psi would be a good choice
