Thumbs up Kartboy Solid Droplinks

Just got them today and installed them! Install took about 15 minutes and required only ramps, 14mm socket, 14mm box wrench and some muscle. The only hard part was coaxing the swaybar to the hole in the new (shorter) Droplinks.

As for performance, I already had a 22mm Whiteline swaybar which is good by itself, but with the new Droplinks the rear end is even more responsive! The car feels very solid and in my short jaunt up in the Hollywood Hills I noticed that the rear snapped into position a lot quicker! Also, there seem to be no issues with noises or clunking which I've heard can plague this mod. overall a great product!

thanks kartboy!

Oh, here's some pics of the install....

On the install, if you take both of the stock drop links off before you install, lining the bar up with the links is a breeze. Doing them one at a time is a PITA. Makes sense right?

I DID remove both first, but it was still a PITA, not impossible, but it took some effort.

Default Question

I've purchased the drop link inserts, and I'm considering the solid drop links.

Do I need the inserts with the drop links (I don't think so) and do the drop links have any play in the bushing to allow for flexing of the sway bar? I know this was an issue with the Whiteline bushings in which the bushes broke because there was no give in the bushing?

Thanks

Anyone want to buy solid drop link inserts?

Mark

The solid droplinks have bushings so there is some play. You should keep the front inserts and install them though.

I have the inserts too and the first person to paypal dan@laberge.com $20 can have'em, shipping included. They are new, never installed.

I put the solid end links in today, and it took no more than 20 minutes. Lining up the Cusco bar was a breeze. It was harder to jam the kartboy hangar on my BPM MarkIII than to bolt this puppies in.

Driving impression? The sway feels the same, but it is just quicker by the tiniest bit, like 5 or 10%.

I had them on before I switched to Whiteline ones.

Only thing I had on the rear at the time. Car felt alot better, But did get some noise from the right rear when pulling into the driveway.

For others experiencing noise: I had a bit of noise in the rear. A shot of white lithium grease (spray can type) in the area of the droplink bushings did the trick. Also make sure they are torqued to spec.
