Since I can run and properly interface with the ECM with a select monitor, and OBD-II I doubt this is any difference.

Jorge - did they happen to say if they were going to ship yours the day you ordered it ? It would be cool if they did, since they'd have to ship via air it would be cool if you had it by tommorow and could bring it on Saturday. I may actually poke my head in and say hello to meet you guys during your Sushi excursion.

Oh I seriously doubt they'd air it... that would be EXPENSIVE to boot.

I have also ordered one of these. Expect it soon.

Regarding the injector duty cycle...

I believe the monitoring will show 'injector milliseconds'. You can use RPM * 'injector milliseconds' / 1200 to get IDC percentage.

That's according to their website. I've read it pretty thoroughly

Woh woh woh,

Jorge, aftermarket ECU's definatley don't work w/ OBD-II. Or at least on my car w/ the link, it won't communicate. How would it still work?

Just asking

Dan

Cause, in my case, the unichip is "technically" not an aftermarket ECU.. it's an interceptor to the factory ECU... thus why it would still work.

AEM, Link, etc... would not work.

The OBDII interface does not hear inline signals. If you are tricking your ECU then you will also be mugging scan iniput/output.

Default Hmmmm...

Have I posted a statement with any similarity at some point in the past? Even had I failed to recall the iteration, it surely would not have been to the extent to be called a chant. If I offend you or your sensibilities tell me, if my information is inaccurate, skewed, flat out wrong, tell me, if you don't agree or I am unclear tell me. I have no issue being confronted, even when/if I am shamed by my decrepit knowledge ( not uncomone ). However, I have no idea what the intent of your post is; are you asking what I meant or just being mean? Maybe it was the poor choice of words on my part, will it help to know I am not talking about function inlining?

Assuming you are defeating the ECU, any signal read from the OBDII interface is going to be a reflection of the adjusted signal the ECU received. This has even been an issue when dealing with excessive noise effecting sensor input signals and translating to inacurate/incorect logging.

If that's the case I should have blown up this motor long ago running 32 degrees advance at 7000 RPM with 18 PSI, as opposed to the unichips remaped 25 degree advance.

This product is just too cool ! ! ! I gotta call them and see if I can get a discount for being English

I have friends and family that live less than 15 miles from this place (I used to work just down the road from them and never knew they where there)

So if we are running the Unichip the signal our output that we log on this system will show corrections the Unichip makes, or do we need to correct the output based on what the Unichip is doing?

On some wires I think the Unichip totally defeats the signal and on other wires I think it just takes the signal and adjusts it. Also TurboXS may do different things than Vishnu.... Just wondering if this will cause our outputs to be different than they actually are...

Jorge,

Sry for the confussion! Two things, firstly my post does read a bit curious now, however, remarks were posted following my first posting that have since been removed, it was to that which I responded. As to blowing anything up, I concede my initial post was poorly phrased; I don't mean to imply there is anything about your current configuration that is not compatible with this tool, I am simply saying that if you ( any party ) has an ECU defeat in place that poaches the signal _before_ the ECU, altering it to defeat the ECU's logic, it is that altered signal that will be relayed to the OBDII interface for monitoring. I make no pretense to know how the unichip implements its tuning, I don't have one, nor do I know, or have I seen how they are wired into the Subaru system.

Download the software and see for yourself. The hard part is knowing what to look for in the data logs and how to interpret it. That's my problem. The software is easy.
