Looking forward to this! How high are you going to rev, is it AVCS, and is it closed deck?

good luck on the spool. Interested if you can boost before 4K but you're gonna have a bit of top end I'd say.

one thing you should know about me...i dont give a rats azz about spool. shift fast enough and rev high enough and thats a non issue.

Ported head, cams, 8.5:1 JEs coated, and Forged rods. Custom dyno tune to come as well.

Mmm, sweet. Now you've really got my attention. So, I'm going to guess EJ205 heads on a 207 block? Umm, are you going to go crazy with cams too? Or is this going to be more of a street motor? And last question, will it be running the power through a PPG gearset in a 5 speed, or are you putting the power through a 6 speed? I'm interested because I might just be interested in doing a similar build. I'm not into copying... Who cares if it doesn't spool until 5k, if you're shifting at 8k, you'll be over 5k in the next gear anyway.

good for you dude , the FP RED is a very nice turbo , i just installed one on my 06 STI and my god that thing spools similar to the stock turbo . My only issue is I wish I had installed it earlier but sadly i listened to the negative posts like the one above and wasted my $$$ on other turbos which weren't as satisfying . As far as my opinion , that is one badddd ass turbo @ 20 psi on pump gas my car was in 5th Gear with between 50-100 feet to go in the 1/4 mile .

On the street, the car is going to be a monster. I used to rev to 8500 all day long in my v7 STi with a modified Green. I loved that setup. The motor was sooo smooth in comparison to the EJ257 brothers.

Make sure if you Dyno it, the EWG dump tube isn't dumping right onto tiedown straps... Having your car rocket off the dyno at 7,800 RPM in 4th gear at WOT is not fun (except maybe to watch on Youtube).

Yeah, the regular td06 has twelve blades. The sl2 with eleven blades is actually closer in size to the td05, by the way...
