Default alright alright PPG vs sti Ra gears vs sti 6mt

i need some opinions guys i have a 2003 wrx wagon and im so torn on what to do im almost leaning towards getting my tranny built out by ppg or just getting a used tranny with some ppgs in it. ive been debating on the whole 6 speed transition but am aprehensive due to fundage hahah, hence the youngW03 name i gave myself. but then again i hear about these sti ra gear sets that handle quite a bit of horse power but what am i sacrificing by going to that ya know, any comments would help guys thanks

the first rule of asking a question like this, is that you STATE WHAT YOU USE THE CAR FOR...

I think you got it backwards... You can buy a complete 6mt swap , installed, and still spend less money than a PPG gearset. There are vendors selling 6mt swaps for $3200, while PPGs are around 4000 without synchros and some additional hardware.

Oh, and I wouldnt buy RA's, but they hold up pretty well. A local here ran 11.1 in the 1/4 mile with RA's.

If you want cheap- get the 6 speed. It will bolt right up to the EJ20. Make sure you get all the necessary pieces before you buy the tranny. Shifter, driveshaft, clutch, DCCD controler...
