Default 1600cc injectors, what brand to choose!

So I have been steered away from my original DW1100's not being big enough for my stup and told to upgrade to 1600cc's. Originally, Phil from Element told me to go with Bosch but after testing on another vehicle, he stated they're not seating correctly and to try another brand.

So if you're running 1600cc injectors, top feed of course, what brand are you running?

Choice i've seen:

RC
Ultimate Racing
DW
Bosch

Please, I need help and need these asap! In case you need this info, im running jdm tgv's, top feed, and axis -6an rails.

bosch are turning out to be a big pain in the a$$ for me. the hydra has a setting for 1-2.5-8-16 ohm injectors. the bosch are 4.5 ohm so not making this an easy conversion.

You're not using the reistor packs, correct?

Injector dynamic Bosch top feed 1000's...

You'll have to run around 120psi fuel pressure static but that will put you over 1600 and it will idle even better than with OE fuel pressure...

-Jerod

and btw they are high impedance - something like 13ohms

I NEED low impedance injectors, 1600cc's ONLY.

I already had 1100's and they're not enough.

Are you going to be running a double fuel pump setup with a fuel pressure regulator?

When you say the Bosch were not seating correctly, you're referring to the Bosch 1600cc injectors, right?

No, one in tank walbro feeding txs surge, feeding external pump. I went with full fuel system...

I don't want to bump the pressure up just to make it work, I was told not to do that that's why I already sold my 1100's. lol

d- why don't you just run 8 800cc injectors? Have the 4 run to tool around town and when boost comes on have the other 4 start rocking.

Ryan,

I wish I thought of something like that PRIOR to spending all this money on my current fuel system. I can't switch now since I already got my tgv's powdercoated, all the fittings and braided lines for one set of rails, not to mention the chroming done on the fuel rails. I would be out alot of money if I decided to switch now.

BTW, did my buddy hit you up for the install next week?

Who's tuning your car? Can't they recommend the proper injector that they're comfortable tuning with? I'd be leery if that person couldn't recommend the right injector. That would pretty much tell me they've never tuned a high HP car before.

edit: I see Phil is tuning your car. He's tuned a ton of balls out setups, so he doesn't have any other recommendations besides Bosch?

That's me. I'll update the profile.

I don't do much Subaru tuning because i don't have an AWD dyno and there are none that are close to me and convenient to use. None the less, I know what it takes to tune one and how to setup a turbo motor.

yeah i only guessed because tony1 was a give away but those injectors are suppose to be sweet. my friends at triwerks are using them on a wrx with a rotated precision turbo setup. it's getting tuned this weekend so i'm hoping to see great results.

look guys, I really need help. I do not want to buy injectors for a third time.

What brand is good? RC's do not look like they come with resistor packs, don't think that matters since the hydra has low impedance injector capabilities with no resistor packs. Other than that, there is Ultimate racing and Bosch.

No one knows anyone with 1600's?

I had their 1100's and recently sold them. I don't think they make 1600's, if so i'd bet they were just modded and not true low impedance.

I am running UR 1600cc injectors, problem free! You don't have to buy the resistor pack either.

650 on Q16? 12-1300 should be more than enough...

Q only requires about 5% more fuel than straight gasoline...
