WRX VF39+E85 12.0, 121mph

Default Second time at the track ever! 1/8 mile Aggressive setup + VF39 E85

I only got 2 runs . The first one was a clean pass lift shifting launching at 4800 RPM and on the second pass I bog and I use FFS lauching at 4900 RPM, same tire pressure in both run 27 psi.

Things that have change since the last time, my car lost a little weight, DS1 stock ratio gear set, Mfactory front LSD, and it was a different track.

First run

Reaction: .821
60' 1.746
T2: 4.948
E.T. 7.545
MPH: 94.155

Second run

Reaction: .732
60' 1.845
T2: 5,250
E.T. 7.942
MPH: 89.904

I will post time slips and video later

*tips scotch*

Nice first run, especially the 60'. Assuming you didnt botch any shifts, that probably would have been a solid low 12/high 11.

I like them they are like stock with a little wine, but pretty quite. I really don't know anything about the gears, it just trusted DS1 and pull the trigger . But I asked him one question "will the gears hold a 35R on E85 with high boost" and he replied yes

It was so funny there was honda and me, the only 2 imports on the whole track. They were making fun on my car and ****, and when I line with mustang my brother heard some people talking **** "that little subaru is going to get smoke by that mustang" , surprise, surprise.

Actually the ratios on the new tranny are a little shorter, specially 3-5.
Last time I know I finish on third, but I was doing a log for CAM and I hit the redline at 96mph so I think I shift to 4th but I am not sure.

I have no idea at what RPMs did I shift the sun was on my face I couldn't see crap, it took me like 2 minutes to line up

That is moving. I'm already in 5th at the 1/8th, but look at my slip compared to your time.

7.59@95.343. That was good enough for 11.69@121.9. I wonder what my car would do if I didn't live at 5400'.
Way to go Juan

Raise it! I had mine set for 7k, that would pick you up a few more mph without a shift. Even if you bounce off the limiter, its still faster than shifting.

Run out of injector for starters?

No doubt about it. I'm working on that right now though. Bosch 044 fuel pump, rails and adjustable FPR are sitting in the garage.

if your limiter is set to 6750 then your 1-2 shift is suffering. First gear should be wound out to 7+K to get your initial momentum and insure not falling out of the powerband.

I feel that if you shifted at 7-7200 in first you would have gone high 7.4 @ 94.7-95. (rough interpolation)

It may seem counter-productive but i have done a lot of troubleshooting in the last year regarding driving habbits at the track.
