Wow, way to start name-calling right off the bat. Sorry I didn't read the whole damn law book. I wasn't believing some "chinese knock-off company." I was PMing a NASIOC vendor. I figured some of them might have some credibility. And then there's the fact that I didn't take his word at face value so I posted the question here so that someone who knows more about it could give me the skinny. Jeez dude, lighten up.

I guess I will end up going with a cheap catted pipe, like ERZ. I'd go catless but I don't want that much attention.

I believe ESX (Easy Street) has a CARB legal stage 2 set-up. I'm not sure what they're using...

UPDATED: Nevermind:

i have a megan downpipe and full cat back from megan racing.. i am pretty sure this will no pass smog as there is no cat what so ever.. also i will have to install the entire oem system to pass smog.. which i was told 4 yrs in cali, and also was told they was trying to not have cars that are 08 and newer not having to pass smog because of how there making the engines emissions air safe.

There is NO legal downpipe for the state of california other then the STOCK one. Yes you may pass with your " insert name here" Downpipe but its still illegal. You can paint it black, put the heat shield on ect ect but its still not technically legal unfortuntly.

But which aftermarket downpipe has the cleanest emissions? I live in a state that just basically checks for cels, but I still care about clean air. I care about HP too
