Default WTB ASAP: 04-05 WRX ej205 engine

So as some may already know, I spun a bearing and I am now looking for a replacement 04-05 ej205 for my car. I mostly need a longblock with front engine accessories (pullies, belts, gears, water/oil pump, etc), but will buy complete if the deal is good enough. Looking for lowest miles possible and would prefer a 2005. Please PM or post up what you have. I am looking to buy within the week. Thanks in advance for any help.

Dave

Sorry to hear and good luck with your search as well. I have been back and forth on what to do with the car since Tuesday and finally decided on just replacing the 205, although people seem to be asking an unreasonable amount for these engines which may change my mind again.

If you are willing to replace the rings in cyl 4 I may have a shortblock for you. Have to ask a friend first.

If you want to build an sti shortblock I have all the stock components that I'd be willing to let it go relatively cheap. Or can just sell the block and crank and you can get your own forged pieces.

Either way, though, it'd just be a shortblock.

Thanks Bruce, I'm looking to do this as quickly and easily as possible though. Pull the bad long block out and replace with a known good longblock. Wish I had the time and funds to build one though.

I have a 05 longblock with 03 heads. Car overheated and I took it apart. Bought a 207 instead of rebuilding. I would suggest sending them out to machine shop to get checked and cleaned up.

I'll let it go cheap as I don't need it and want it gone.

Thanks, but I'm looking to just swap my bad engine for a known good engine to make things as easy as possible.
