Default misfire /o2 code issue

Can anyone give ma a little help? my daughters 96 Impreza outback has develpoed an issue. the check engine light cam on the other day, after reading the codes I got 1. missfire detected on cyl #3 and 2. left bank O2 senor malfunction.

I pulled the plugs and everthing seems fine with them . the injectors also seem to be working correctly.
so what would cause this? I am thinkint the coil pack is going out and causeing the missfire which is then causeing the 02 issue .

sound about right?

how common is this issue?
