Default 08 STi Tuning Options?

Just got a 08 STi wagon to replace my 02 WRX. I had an awesomely reliable stage 1 tune from Vishnu Performance on the WRX which has been and still is great. Can anyone recommend a reliable stage 1 option for the STi with ECU remap and exhaust? Vishnu hasn't as yet developed one for the STi.
Thx, G.

for my 09, i got a custom stage1 tune for my Accessport from SurgelineTuning. Seems perfect so far. Car drives incredibly better. Holding 2psi higher and steadier, and it feels far more refined that the Cobb's off the shelf stage1.

Pick your EM solution, then your tuner. If you do not have easy access to a tuner, you can look into doing an Internet/e-mail tune.

Personally, I went with open-source because my tuner prefers it.

Is the Surgeline map a base map as well or do you send logs back and forth for the map to be tweaked?

Thx for the pointers... I heard that ProDrive from the UK will be marketing their STi exhaust through Cosworth in the US in a month or so. So far their remap isn't availbale due to the differences in gas octane rating.

It was just a base map they sent with my AP that i purchased from them. They tweaked the map a little because i told them I would like to run a K&N drop in filter. At the end my AP came with 2 stage1 maps from them. One for 16.4psi and one for 17.0psi. I tried both of them to see which one runs smoother. The 17psi tune has been on there for 5k miles now and i've data logged a couple times. So far it works absolutely perfect. I dont even know if there is much room for tweaking even if i send them my logs.
