Default Source of Tokyo Roki (Black OEM) Oil Filters

Well, when it was announced that SoA was no longer going to use the black Tokyo Roki filters, I stocked up with enough for 30k miles. However, I'm now getting paid by a couple of friends to change their oil (weird, I know), so I'm burning through my stash too fast. SGP.com is now out of the filters, so there's no quick out there.

Is anyone importing the black Tokyo Roki filters into the US?

Hmm.... they show a picture of a white filter and then call it the Tokyo Roki. The white filters were those piece of crap american filters that leaked so badly they were recalled.

Gee, if I'd gotten the link during business hours, that might actually have been possible.

The note mentions that it's actually the black filter (even though there's a white one in the pic).

Sorry, but Mobil 1 and K and N Filters suck, if you want a filter that is closest to Subura factory spec then get the Purolator Pure One. There was a comparison chart on filters around here, I will try to find it and post it up.

FYI,
Matt

Here yah go.

I bought a six pack of the Tokyo Roki filters last week from MastroWRX. They don't sell the white pieces of crap (or the new blue pieces of crap), only the black Roki filters. Parts manager is a good guy and won't try to pass off the crappy ones thinking you don't know any better. I am in the northeast and they got here in about 3 days.

I concur the Amsoil EA filters are a step up but they are also $16 a piece so if you can get the factory good ones for $10 bucks, that is the route I go.
