Hello my name is Ian. ive read countless threads about SC vs. TC. I myself like the SC's, But what im here for is help. Ive been doing tons of research on turbocharging and supercharging the Rs 2.5. Seeing as its a high compression engine (in comparison to the wrx) i plan on going supercharger.
I already have my supercharger its an eaton m62. I plan on getting a rrfpr, better fpr, parallel fuel rail setup, wrx fuel pump, 06'+ wrx tmic, and eventually a ems. Is it safe to run this setup minus the ems. any other sensors i need to get. Any other help is greatly appreciated, oh im kinda new at all this stuff so if im buggin to much let me know thanks...IAN i was also looking into getting a wideband also....

Without the AEM EMS, I would definately get larger injectors (at least wrx 440's) and some sort of way to control fuel and timing. Without a wideband, you are hit or miss, or worse on your A/F ratio, so dont skimp. A wideband is cheaper than an engine....
If you havent already (which you might have) check out reddevil's threads, basically the pioneer for SC'ing a subaru. Dont forget to check out Skidd's thread in this forum also. Lots of good info in both. ~Josh~ |

Get ready to make a biiiiigggggg drive pulley. Both Skipp and reddevil's builds produced very low pressures (2-3 psi) with the OEM sized pulleys. Mine is making 4 psi with an underdrive crank pulley, but it's an M90 and that requires *ehem* extensive modifications to the car.
Good luck, and ask a lot of questions |
