Default just a thought

i read about keeping the stock airbox, and doing a cai that way, and also doing the hybrid, but could you keep the stock airbox, replace the accordion tube, and then after the sensor, cut and couple on an airfilter, kind of like a hybrid sri, but instead of having the intake duct feed the stock airbox, cut it off so it fed directly to the side of the filter, if you dont understand i can MP up a quick sketch after work, then again it is just a thought i had while doing my hybrid setup....

im kinda confused what your trying to build here, but what i did on my 05 rs is took and did the hybrid intake and then in the fender well where the gord sits i ripped that out and stuck a pipe into my air box and got a cap where it used to suck air into the gord from the engine bay so i closed all the other little holes with heat tape and now i have what i call a "cold air hybrid intake" because its sucking all from the fender well but still keeping the stock airbox and panel filter. not saying this is best idea, but it seems to make sense to me so im gunna keep it haha

So you want to have 2 airfilters?

one from the stock airbox and the other routed off of the pipe?

gord = snorkus?

If so, I thought the point of the hybrid was to keep the snorkus.
