Got my CD full of pictures from the VIR event in the Subaru last month. A few shots from that:

(It doesn't look it, but the track was pretty damp in that last shot. The IT-prepped Viper was the only car that caught me. I actually hung with him through the Uphill Esses, but he disappeared down the back straight.)

Pat

I think that is Eric Campbell. He is super Fast at VIR !

Here's a fun news story on my local track a couple years ago. They get a couple good shots of me ripping it lol . The best part is the last couple seconds, they finish up with me burying it in the corner. Black 18

This morning I was at the Circuit of the Americas for a Cadillac V-Series Performance Lab. Got seat time (auto-x style) in the new ATS, then track time in CTS-Vs. (They had all 3 CTS-V models there; I drove a wagon in one stint and everyone drove coupes that were rigged with cameras and datalogging setups). I should have the video in about a week, at which I'll definitely post it up. The track is frickin' awesome!
Got the video from the event.

It is not, short story: Car lost traction due to cold tires, slammed into a metal barricade. Engine needs some repair and the chassis of course . Car will be back together soon enough!

Yeah. Unfortunately. But thats part of racing. I actually was not the person driving the car when the accident happened. So I am getting help in fixing it. I will post updates.

Sorry to see that, Brody. Did that happened at MMP? I hope you'll get it back up and running soon.

First event of the season for me. I had to change horses at the last minute due to an oil leak on my CTS-V (which was due to me installing an oil cooler setup at the last minute, so nobody to blame but myself!).

This is from Washington DC Region SCCA PDX @ Summit Point. Based on the Chase Cam data capture, I was ~1.5sec quicker this year than at the same event last year. Strangely enough, the car was consistently ~2mph slower this year at the end of the main straight and the bridge straight. Corner entry speeds at turns 3, 4 and 10 were all 5 or 6mph faster, which was something I wanted to work on, so I was pretty happy to see that. Unfortunately, corner exit speeds at 3 and 10 were essentially unchanged, I think due to gearing - I'm at the top end of 4th or low in 5th in both cases, so acceleration is not so good. In turn 4 (the downhill right hander) I was able to carry that 5-6mph advantage all the way through because the car was actually able to accelerate downhill.

So how is the Noble on track? I've only ever come across 2 at track events, 1 out in the PacNW and 1 in the Mid-Atlantic.

Ive only done one track day with it...and it was a blast. Totally different feel than a Suby. I was actually pretty scared the first time I tracked it. It was at Mid Ohio and it was only 35 degrees outside. I am so used to tracking my STI...I was worried that this RWD, super light, low sitting, no anti-lock brake, rear engine car would catch me off guard. But it handled really well.
