Default WTB: Running 2.0 Longblock

Looking to get back up and running again, need a RUNNING or buildable shortblock for cheap. Mainly looking for 2.0 to get back to normal but will consider 2.5 shortblocks/kits if the price is right.

Also looking for a stock 04 jbp hood from anyone who might have gone CF.

Looking for both local can pick up pretty much whenever. Thanks!

Bump for a running 2.0 f/s. Also interested in anyone who can touch up key scratches if I have the paint as I doubt there will be an extra jbp hood floating around.

EDIT: Looking for full running longblock fs ready to drop in 68k or under... take my block for a rebuild or I will sell separately. Mods if you could please change title to read "WTB: 2.0 Longblock" that would be great. Thanks

Can't do it cuz I can't afford the rest... tranny clutch heads etc... but if there is an STi shortblock out there for cheap I would do a hybrid build.

you'd want to do a hybrid anyway cause changing your intake/harness set up would be a pita. unless you did a FULL swap like harness ecu longblock tranny all that.

you could do the hybrid and still rock stock wrx everything else, you just wouldn't be able to take FULL advantage. get a rallispec shortblock and build the rest as you go.
wiseco 2.5=2700
cosworth 2.5=3200

price is hot for a no mileage race ready street block. new 2.5l at that! i understand thats probally 2k more than a used and possible abused shortblock but you know what your getting is new and good for 100k more miles...

on the other hand if the used ej257 block is compression tested in front of you its probally cool these motors are stout!

i wonder how much to pull your motor and put forged pistons in? 500$ to pull in put back.
if the sleeves are damaged you may be able to get away with just honing them and just put in some high boost pistons...what are they 300 each? maybe some decent rods/bearings too. change fluids, arp head studs / misc stuff...thats less than 2 grand no? jodie could probally have it done in a week.

A rebuild? I don't think I asked him his prices on that. Mach V was giving me a great deal but to pull the shortblock, work it, and put it back but that costs an arm and leg in labor alone. Jodie might hook it up though I'll call him about that tonight/tomorrow. He might like messing with my virgin block... muahaha

I have the 2.0 out of my wrx...

its the 2.0 with heads. no intake mani, turbo, accessories etc...

it has 75k miles and runs great. the passenger side head is the only problem.

one of the exhaust studs stripped and ended up chunking out a peice of the head. not sure if you could retap it, weld it or just throw a new head on.

ill let everything go for REALLY cheap though.

im in westchester ny.

Very interested, pm'ed. I can most likely reuse my heads/goodies, any way you can separate the shortblock?
