Default Volkswagen’s sport models will carry the ‘R’ logo

Quote:
According to Autovisie Magazine, the sport models from Volkswagen will carry the ‘R’ logo. Although on the internet the sport models are called R20 or R20T, the Germans will keep it simple as Golf R and Scirocco R. Also an interesting fact was revealed: the Volkswagen Scirocco GT24-CNG which will make its debut at he the 24-Hour Race this coming May 23 and 24 at the Nurburgring is actually the upcoming ‘R’ version of the sporty hatchback. According to our sources, the Scirocco GT24-CNG is powered by a 2.0-liter engine capable to deliver 270 hp. The same sources tell us that the Golf R will have less power than the Scirocco R and 50 additional horsepower comparing it to the GTI. Both of the vehicles will be unveiled by the German manufacturer until the end of this year.

While I know VWoA won't import the 2.0T and NA Scirroco because they concerned about it cannibalizing 2dr (or is 3dr?) GTI and Golf sales, I really hope they tell Germany to ship over R20 Scirroco's instead of 2dr R20 Golfs.
