Default ej20g internals

Hi,

alright, i have some bad knock sounds like rod knock, i have a ej20g. Are usdm ej20 internals the same (connecting rods, connecting rods bearing, pistons, rings) or some are specific?

Rods are the same, everything else is specific.

Crank of a EJ20G is identical to USDM EJ18/EJ22 up to MY97/98 as are the bearings.

Have a look at the EJ20G/EJ20K partnumber thread I'm sure you will find most of the information you're looking for.

With very minor machine shop work you should be able to use the USDM EJ20 crank as well. All of the phase 2 cranks I have seen still have the spot for a #3 thrust bearing, it just needs to be polished!
