Default Question on Header Fitment

Hello,

Quick question, does anyone know 05 stock header fit on an 03 wrx motor? I have an 03 motor and an purchased an 05 header and i cant seem to get it to fit. the middle pipe is hitting the oil filter. I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong..

Thank you
Christian

Well, in the US the STI oil pans changed in 04-05. I had to install and 05 oil pan to install a perrin header so, you might be in the same boat.

was your header hitting the oil pan or the oil filter? I have an oil pan i can install but I'm not sure if it would help since the header is not hitting the oil pan. Its hitting the oil filter.

Thanks...

They changed the design of the oil filter/oil cooler too. In 03 ,they point straight down. In the later cars they have an angle to them. My header cleared the 03 filter with no issues.
