Nice find and buy. Boosted 4.6s are fun!

Good point, sir.

It's an authentic Terminator. He swapped out the stock motor for an Aluminator (saved about 90 lbs) and it still has the Kenne Bell blower on top. The new motor makes the same power the old one did on 3 psi less.

If and when I really want to turn the wick up, that car is built to make a reliable 800 WHP, and that blower will certainly spin fast enough. Right now, it's making 640 WHP on less timing than stock.

They had issues with those aluminators burning a lot of oil. Ford now has a fix for it, but it's a pain to re&re the motor to get to it. I'd keep an eye on your consumption.

Other than that, it's a sick car. Nothing beats the instant power, and stump pulling torque of a blown V8.

Did Aluminator ever fix it themselves? It's a brand new longblock - only 150 miles. I'm assuming IF Aluminator fixed the issue, he would have one of the revised engines without the oil burning problem as it's so new.

One issue I know I'm going to have is with the Kenne Bell - the older blowers have a tendency to blow oil through the snout at high boost. There's a catch can in place, but the owner did warn me to monitor the blower oil. He does think it may not be an issue since it's running less boost now as well.

Yeah, he's a Ford guy through and through. I come from a pretty big Ford circle jerk of friends. Between him and another friend, the owner of svtperformance.com, they could sell their fleet of cars and end world hunger.

EDIT - the F350 isn't boosted - it's the V10.

ooh, I just automatically assumed it was a turbo diesel. So basically just due to his fleet of cars, he basically has an obligation to put a supercharger on that truck.

Actually he traded in his 2009 Whipple'd F150 for the F350, because he was tired of the build transmission breaking.

I think he's plenty happy with the power the F350 makes, but knowing him, it will be supercharged sooner than later.

I bet my old LGT would give it a run for it's oil eating money.

Because it was doing nothing but collecting dust since he got the GT500.

Guy here in town buys the first Cobra(s) and GT500 at Midway when they come in. Has a '93 Cobra that I would kill for sitting in a barn.....rotting away.

Ground loop? I'm new to this torque thing. You'll have to expand on that.

That's my one gripe about this car. Being a convertible, it isn't exactly rigid.

Yeah but damn does it look good. IRS makes those cars too. Without that I would be bashing your thread.

I drove a non s/c car that got traded in at teh Toyota place I worked at. I wasnt ten feet out of the parking lot and the ass end was trying to get sideways on me. Fun car. That one in particular was beat up and had high miles on it, missing the cats and the interior was tore up. Passed on it for 10k.
