So in the very near future im buying a seibon carbon fiber hood. But the only oem style one i can find is one with a sti hood scoop. As much as i love sti's i dont want that big of a scoop. I want the wrx hood scoop. Do you know where i can find a seibon oem wrx carbon fiber hood? i cant seem to find it anywhere.......

You're probably not going to find it in the Normally Aspirated Powertrain forum.

well i drive a naturally aspirated suby........ so i figured the people in this forum would be more knowledgable on where to find parts.
Im NOT trying to buy a used one from somebody on here selling one, so the classifieds wouldnt be the right place to post either. |

Just trade with a 06-07 obsidian wrx with a hood scoop?? Aluminum is very close in weight, if not lighter, than the carbon fiber. Unless you want the carbon fiber look.

Yeah, aluminum is probably a little lighter. The only downside is durability. Aluminum dents easy, might be a concern if hail is common in your area.
The hood scoop is probably a separate, removable piece unless they form their hoods as one piece. You could take off the scoop and do some sort of mesh cover or something too. |
