Default FS NJ : EJ207 v7 RA spec C motor w/ ECU & UTEC

.......... SOLD ! .......

I can't believe that I am considering this but I'm putting my motor up for sale .

Its a EJ207 v7 RA spec C motor with about 35k miles on it . Comes with UTEC & JDM RA-C ECU .

The motor will come complete without turbo , intercooler and turbo inlet .

It does have Perrin fuel rails and larger injectors . ( have to double check what size )

I'll get some pictures of it soon .

I dont see why not . As long as you got stock exhaust on the car during inspection , you should be good to go . I had legit inspection in NJ , not sure how it goes in NY .

It's not the engine that fails NY inspection, it's the ecu. Well, technically the engine is illegal, but they wouldn't figure that out.

I believe you can reflash a WRX ECU (02-03) to work this motor to get it to pass emissions.

The JDM ECU doesn't communicate at all with NYS inspection software.

JDM ECU is missing certain parameters that the US OBD2 computers look for, and which the USDM WRX ECUs have...

Exactly. You get the USDM ECU, flash it to ignore the TGV's missing and then inspect. Once you're done, you put back the JDM one.

So does NY use a different OBD II standard than NJ? I have an EJ207 in my RS and passed in NJ.

$4500, comes with free heads & ECU.

DISCLAIMER: I am not the seller, just adding my $0.02. (It'd be silly to dismantle a running engine to sell the bottom end and get stuck with heads, ECU and wiring.)
