will the wiring harnesses swap directly over from a 06 wrx to a 97 impreza or do i need to merge them?

Which dash will you be using? Using the '97 will require some merging, but I'm not sure how much. And IIRC you still need to address tail lights and some other accessories if you swap in the WRX dash. I found this thread helpful when planning my swap. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...light=Brighton

you can swap over the ENTIRE harness from car to car... but if you just want to swap the engine and/or dash harness it will be a huge task merging with the stock harness

im sure what dash i will use. how does the dash line up with the door pannels for a coupe. i can figure out the lights pretty easy. i have hids now so the head lights will be easy because i only have highbeams. taillights will mainly be swapping the conecters.

you will at least need to change out the dash beam and probably do a little bit of merging for the rear lights etc.

Look at my thread, i havnt updated it but everything is good to go and as far as lining up there is a small gap at the a pillers. You have to use 98+ door panels, and the hvac system does go in there with some tweaking...

sorry for bringing this thread back but its not too old. I am doing an 04 sti engine swap and as of right now I plan on keeping my stock dash. I Have the bulkhead harness for my stock one and I believe the one for the sti along with the sti engine harness. Can anyone just pm me an overview of what needs to be merged?
Thanks, Kenny
