^^ you have a valid concern. Axle breakage is usually associated with shock load aka launching. I don't think the axles will hold up to what the diff will but I'm working on that issue too

Will this part help with ring and pinion problems? I ran over a small rock at mild and next I hear is crunch crunch crunch. I'm guessing the oem diff couldn't deal that. Or is this a different problem.

ok driving in a canyon. I came down and was driving normal. There was a small rock in the road. About 2 inches tall and round. Ran over it on the rear passanger side tire. My friend tells me that it caused the diff to do something strange. Then caused the pinion gear to break a huge tooth. Never had a problem until I hit that rock.

Hmm, probably not a result of running over the rock, more a tooth that had been compromised and the shock of the rock ended it's hope for survival.

Probably not, that's a ring and pinion quality issue.

R160 = WRX rear diff.

For the record, I'd love one of these, but I still haven't recovered from giving $3000 of my money to DS1 for the MFactory gears. I've got college to pay for, here! Cut it out guys.

1 way L.S.D.- Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and 4WD car front axles.
Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off.

1.5 way LSD- Activates under acceleration while the understeer is less than on the 2 way LSD.Recommended for drivers having difficulty with 2 way LSD understeer and one way LSD braking.

Two way LSD- Activates on both acceleration and deceleration.

I borrowed that because honestly I can't think of a better way to say it.

Will this fit a 2005 Legacy Turbo 5EAT by any chance? Will it cause ABS problem?

Thanks!
