Default light?

i was driving around dusk, and i noticed this light, its not on..but if it did come on i would like to know what this is..ive searched but nothing just this picture i found

Catalytic converter overheat light

Ive never heard of anyone ever seeing it come on though. I wonder how hot that thing would have to get??

If you have a dead coilpack it will definitely come on if you lean on the car a bit.....

The only time I've had that light come on is when my alternator shat out.

But then every other goddamn warning light decided to come on at the same time.

My guess would be EGT warning light.

If it came on you porobably have a lot of raw fuel going through your exhaust....

I doubt it's got to do with the catalytic converter. It's just a warning that the exhaust gas temperature is above a certain limit and the ECU will probably compensate by running even richer. Is it alsways on?

Not sure if its even on, if it is on really dim bulb, not even half the brightness in the picture i posted. :/

mine came on when my coil packs went out i had one go out and anytime the car would start to hitting boost the light would come on and if i let off the the throttle for about 5 seconds it would shut off then as soon as it was hitting boost again it would come back on
