Cool Underground Racing goes nutts on the lp640

sorry guys but i had to show this it is insane i dont quite know how to quote like you other do but damn they gone nutts. its also probably one of the cleanest installs i have ever seen as well!!!

Today we preview one of the fastest Lamborghini Murcielago LP640’s tuned by Underground Racing. They’re an emerging car tuning company from America that customizes Vipers, Lambos, and the Ford GT. From the pictures that were released via the LamboPower forum, we can see the car is twin-turbocharged with a bespoke exhaust system. They haven’t released the numbers or specifications yet; however, the last Lamborghini Gallardo Underground Racing tuned generated 1300 rwhp. That is an insane amount of power and we can only expect them to increase the numbers for this Murcielago.

Once we have full details we will update this post. We are all wondering how they can produce that much power by only turbocharging these Lamborghinis, but I can say that is one sexy engine bay…

I think sniper's comment was due to the fact that all Murcielago's are awd.

They do a great job. LP640 TT is ridiculous, and used LP's have been popping up for under 200K recently. Wonder if this is a shop car or customer's car... Sick build - top notch.

Didn't say it was cheap, but the spyders were going for 400 just over a year ago... And with the LP560 out, no one wants the old Gallardos either - almost 100K off on new 08's. Send it to UGR and forget about the 09's. Start digging in that couch!

At least you found some memories. They say smells trigger memory better than anything else - so, is it true?

They converted it to RWD. If I remember correctly, it was for an odd reason too, like they couldn't find a front differential strong enough to handle the power.

Yeah, where you gonna get parts to keep it AWD with that kind of power. Tear apart a Bugatti Veyron?

Gallardos are running 1000+whp with the stock AWD system, though it has been suggested that the 6-speed cars are better platforms than the e-gear cars. Haven't read anything questionable about the front diff's.

In this application, it may not only be the higher power level, but also the higher weight, larger tires, and hence, higher grip levels (especially from a standstill) that creates the problem.

From what I remember reading on lambo forums a while ago guys would convert to rwd to get dyno'd, since awd dynos werent very close (this was a couple months ago, things mightve changed by now), or they just wanted a rwd gallardo.

given the extra 1.5 liters of displacement and 2 extra cylinders over a gallardo, this should be interesting
