I have an 04 sti... how do I know which utec is for me?

My friend has a utec for sale. He's not sure how to tell if it would work with my car. The only numbers I could find and remember easily are "revision 6b" and txs005 stamped on the circuit board. Can anyone help me out? thanks.

I don't have an STi, so I am not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure there is a totally different STi UTEC. By that, I mean that I recall back in the day that the 02-03 UTEC definitely did not work on the STi.

What car is it coming out of?

No idea. It's not installed. I guess I should get into contact with turboxs. They SHOULD know...

I have an 04, with STI build up, I have the UTEC system piggybacked on the WRX computer(difference is variable valve timing), which my motor does not have. I have a local tuner, who is having a bit of a problem tuning the car b/c the UTEC is not letting him do adjustments above 22-23psi. It will still push more. but he just can not tune it. I probably would not have picked it.

you need to install a bigger MAP sensor and/or BCS
