Default SOLD. 2002 WRX Sedan rolling chassis or project... Clean title.

This vehicle has sold! Thanks for looking!

OK, I'm never going to get this thing done so here goes... Reluctantly...

I have an 02 Sedan in WRB, 42,000 miles. There's never been a lien on the car, and the title is clean. I blew the motor in it a few years ago, and it has just sat since. I had good intentions to get this car done, but just haven't had the time.

First the rolling shell... Is in reasonable clean condition. It's been covered in my garage since the engine mishap, so some items may need servicing (calipers for example).

Comes complete with all the following goodies which are on the car....

Prodrive P1 wheels shod with P-Zero RS 5 tarmac rally tyres.
Prodrive Alcon front calipers with AP Racing discs (alloy hats).
Alloy frt control arms
Aquamist water injection (Fuel injector pulse width matching)
Prodrive Springs on stock dampers.
Whiteline rear sway bar.
Group N Suspension bushings throughout.
Group N Engine and trans mounts.
A dead 5 speed trans. (1st & 2nd gear lost)
Utec engine management.
Sparco H-Type 4 point harnesses.

$4000 O.B.O.

If I remember anything else that's on the car, I'll edit the post... I think I got the major stuff covered though.

The car is located in the Detroit Metro Area.

VIN No. is JF1GD29692G505833

I have a bunch of other goodies too which I'll post separately. Once I post them, I'll put links in this thread too. Items are a built engine, a 6 speed trans and required parts to fit, and some Burn Up carbon fibre headlamps and WRC front bumper.

Thanks for the interest! Once I get my website back up and running, I'll post pictures.

When I say Rolling Chassis, I mean a complete car minus the engine, and some engine bits. So, the interior is all there, seats, wiring, dash, everything. Hope that makes sense.

Tomorrow I'm pulling the car out of the garage and will post pictures. I've had a few enquiries which is nice. Thanks for your patience! I was going to pull it out yesterday, but it was chucking it down with rain and I have to move a bunch of stuff to do it.

Default Photos Available...

I pulled the car out today and gave it a quick clean and took some pics. It brought back some memories! I'll be sad to see it go.

Anyway...

In the next image you can see damage to the rear bumper fascia. I spun into a snowbank one winter, and pretty much got away with it. The only things I caught were the front and rear fascias. Last time I looked (ages ago), a fascia was $138 from the Subaru dealer, but obviously it'd need paint too.

P-Zero RS5 Tarmac Rally tyres will probably be no good, they've been sitting for so long.

Prodrive brakes. AP Racing discs. Rotors are quite rusty, but might be OK. Calipers will likely need servicing with seals.

Slight rust spot from cracked paint.

The damage at the other end from the snow bank excursion. I drove the car for one winter when it was mostly stock. Once it was tuned, the car was a daily driver in the summer and a track day car. I didn't bother fixing this damage as it was only superficial and using the car for track days, knowing my luck I'd fix it, then wreck it!

Missing engine. The hood has been off since the engine removal. My original hood had a rock dent in the front of it, but the hood I have now is a new one without a dent. I can put it back on the car before it's taken away.

Cracked foglamp due to rock. Damn these Michigan roads.

Another rock dent. This one is in the rear quarter near the beltline on the passenger side.

Default More pics...

Prodrive rear muffler will be replaced with a stock muffler.

The interior is in pretty reasonable shape.

Red switch is for water injection pump power. Thuimbwheel switch is for map selection on the UTEC.

Sparco belts.

Cable is for connecting UTEC to laptop.

The first post has always said the trans was dead. It works, but it ain't pretty trying to get it in gear. It might as well be dead in my opinion. It is what it is. Which is why I have a 6 speed that I'll sell. I'm going to wait on selling the built engine and trans I have until the rolling chassis is gone. Otherwise, I might as well just keep it all and put it back together. I think the car part of the equation will be the hardest thing to get rid of. I'd be happy to sell the whole project together, but interest in that seems pretty low. Understandably.

Just for you, I'll change it to O.B.O.

This is a really inappropriate comment. God forbid someone criticizes pricing in one of your threads.

No one asked you. And they have several times, you included.

$5k is not likely at all for a car in this condition. It may not be what he wants to hear, but it's the truth. It's basically a roller that needs some body work.

Edit: To keep this constructive, sell off everything aftermarket that you can: brakes, wheels, sway bar, exhaust, etc. and put it back to stock. That's your best bet if you can do that.

I don't have the time to put it back to stock. Heck I can barely remember how the car goes together now even! It's going as is, and I get what I get right? I've had offers that I'm considering, which aren't all that bad.

What I really wish is that I had the time to do what I wanted with the car. I bought so much stuff, but now it's sat for so long, the stuff has all devalued tremendously... Which Aspen_2.5RS you're right, I don't want to hear, but facts are facts.

I'm considering reducing the price, but in doing so removing some of the cool stuff and selling separately (heeding some advice from Aspen_2.5RS). Things I'd sell separately would be the prodrive muffler, seat belts, wheels maybe... I could do brakes separately too, but I can't remember if I have the stock ones. If not, then obviously wheels will be a little difficult as the stockers won't fit over the prodrives. It's a bit of a pain in the butt, but if it helps move this thing then so be it.

It was... I really enjoyed this car, and the crowd of friends that came with it, nearly none of whom now own a Scooby anymore. We all met on I-Club before it split into two, and we stuck with NASIOC through the last several years. I had some pretty big plans for it, basically to turn it into a WRC replicar... Trouble was, I had too many projects on the go at once, and it fell by the wayside. I got an M3 a few years ago, and just lost the drive for working on the Subaru. I accumulated all the bits before the STi really became abundant, and even went to Japan myself to get the Burn Up WRC bumper and lights... I checked them in as luggage too on the plane... The bumper box only just fitted through the x-ray machine! I'll post them soon... I might ebay them though, as I'm sure they fairly valuable. I have the dry carbon fibre lights and the bumper with the indicators in. They have to go as a package deal really as the lights don't have indicators, just like the WRC car at the time. That's why I'll be sad to see it go.
