Default wiring question

I've just about finished the build portion of my swap. I'm using an ej22e block (phase 1) and ej25 sohc heads and intake manifold. I still haven't decided what would be the best way to go with the differences in wiring under the hood. I figured the only complication the manifolds would present would be the injector harnesses. Today I found that the tps, the ignition coil, injectors.. all are different enough that I can't just swap them out with phase 1 parts and I don't really want to hack into my stock wiring for every sensor on the manifold.

So my questions....

How difficult/time consuming is it to swap all the engine wiring and ecu?
If I used an 01 RS ECU does that still use the same dash wiring as my 96?
Any other suggestions?
