I bought a heat shield from IIR a few weeks back, evit was shipped promptly and was priced very nicely. I received it sooner than expected, and I will definitely be doing business with IIR again.

These guys are really great. I was in a tight situation and had no radiator, and Josh went great lengths to make sure I could get one. Amongst the other purchases I have made, I have also had great service, and advice. I will continue to do business with them for as long as I have a Subaru!!!

+ eleventy billion for IIR! I get quick responses to PM at all hours of day or night and first quote has always been lowest around. Absolutely KILLED the competition on price for a recent purchase of Koni inserts.

I reallly need to thank the folks at Import Image Racing
They helped me out of a really tight spot. I blew my radiator and needed one asap, they had it to me the next day with the best price I as I have seen it anywhere.

I generally don't leave bad comments and just discontinue business with companies, but this is worth mentioning...

On 7/29 I called and placed an order for the FMS replica TMIC. Prior to the call Josh had been VERY helpful, despite being busy with the birth of his new child. I was impressed so I decided to place the order despite a lot of other feedback I've gotten locally here. It was hard to ignore the price difference from the PW unit. I asked Josh to send me the tracking. He said he'd get it to me on Monday when it goes out

On 7/30 my account was charged

On 8/3 I called to confirm tracking and Josh said it's getting coated and that it'd probably arrive mid next week. He also said he'll email me the tracking info

On 8/6 i got the tracking number. Initially it didn't pull up any info via FedEx site. I emailed Josh and he said it worked for him. I tried later and updated Josh that it worked, but per FedEx it was only initiated and not picked up, but the anticipatory delivery date was 8/13.

On 8/7 I got an email from Josh who said "works for me, was picked up last night

We appreciate your inquiry!

Kindest regards,".

This morning I emailed Josh that he didn't respond to a couple of emails and I was getting concerned. It was already past the typically drop off time for FedEx at my house (I know UPS and FedEx like the back of my hand at this point through all the parts I've ordered from another vendor) and my wife stayed at home to wait for the parts. Josh emailed and replied with "have not missed a response sir, im asking shipping now" after four hours of no response I thought it'd be easier to just call.
When I called in, Josh answered and once he knew it was me he immediately transferred me to "shipping". I figured it was the guy a few cubicles down. LOL at first he stumbled a bit and magically found my information. He started off with "it looks like we'll be crediting your account today". When I asked why he said that it came back with missing parts and they didn't want to send out an incomplete kit. Smart move since that was some of the feedback from other sites, but why today? Why did I find out this way? How was it that Josh could email me and say it was picked up "last night" (8/7) and yet another associate tell me that they got it back with missing parts from the people that coat it?

There was just to many mistakes being made. I don't want to just come out and say I was lied to, but that's how I feel. I understand Josh is trying to run a business with a newborn, but it's still business. Plus, there's other associates there to help clarify the situation. Up until today, I've never talked to "shipping". I'm glad I did, but I wish I knew all of this as soon as they figured out it was missing parts. I'm sure it was today that they figured this out ... at least not while thinking it was picked up the night of the 6th and anticipated for delivery on the 13th.

I'm happy to know that others have had a good experience. As for me, this was my first and last attempt to purchase anything from ImportImage Racing.

I understand you're at the mercy of shipping. It's unfortunate that you were told the wrong information ... and ultimately so was I as the customer. I'm sure you have more positive than negative feedbacks, but I tend to not do business with people that have poor communication internally. It doesn't end well for anyone.

bad review on Import Image Racing (IIR)
unethical, avoid at all cost

I guess it has to happen at a certain point in time.
A vendor that **** things up for you and leave you hanging there dry.


I bought a coolingmist stage 1 kit with 250psi pump in May 2012. Took more than 1 month to reach (granted that I never pay much for shipping so they used the slowest usps ****)
When the box arrived, I am horrified to discover that they sent an old looking kit with the old 150psi pump. Perfect! What they advertise online and what they sold to me is different.

In order for to protect myself from IIR playing punk, I lodge a dispute with paypal. (Paypal is the best)
Paypal rule the case in my favour and refunded me the money I paid to IIR if I can prove that I send the item back.
Of course I submit some photos of the AWB and receipt and paypal accepted them as proof.

Perfect. I got scam! by a supposedly reputable online vendor.
IIR could have just email me- hey dude, i will ignore you because i got my item back at your cost so no losses for me. it is our policy man.
IIR say something.... dun just ignore like a *****.


I have used rallispec, pure-tuning.com, grimmspeed, tic-concepts, and some others with no such issue.

*in addition, I emailed coolingmist dave to ask for some info about the coolingmist kit and he shrug it off by saying pls resolved it with the place you bought it from. WTF is that?

howdy sir, we offered to swap out the pump, as you were sent a 150psi one. instead you charged us back on paypal and waited for them to do their whole deal. you sent the kit back and we refunded your money. We tried to work with you direct but you rather do it through paypal, so we abide by their rules as we have to work with them to resolve the case. When we click that we receive an item back in their dispute process, it automatically fully refunds you. At that point we cannot send a new product because you have been refunded in full. we wish you the best and if you have any questions feel free to give me a call on monday. I'll be happy to go over it with you

I dont get why people do that. Give the vendor a chance to resolve the issue before jumping into a PayPal dispute. Once a vendor has a dispute open, there are strict rules they have to follow, and it doesnt necessarily always end in your favor.

Josh and the IIR guys rock man, I've only ever had a few issues with the numerous orders I've made through them and they've always come through quickly and helped me out. Which is why I order all my stuff through them

The fact that they beat every other companies prices on all of the items helps make the decision with who to order through as well

+1 for IIR and Josh always willing to work with a customer.

I had an issue where I was waiting almost 2 months for a lip I ordered from him. This was not IIR's fault, it was the vendor giving bogus ETA's. After awhile I got sick of waiting and spoke with Josh about the issue. He looked into it right away, and refunded my money with no issues at all.

Things happen sometimes. Heck, just recently I've had two items in a row be the wrong part (not IIR) .... but I contacted the vendors and got it resolved quickly both times. Give a vendor a chance to make it right, because they want your return business, and are typically happy to help you out.

A vendor does not deserve a bad review for you simply receiving the wrong part ... only if they fail/refuse to fix the problem for you.

Great experience with Josh and IIR! I received Lightning fast responses from all of my inquiries and Josh was more than helpful. Don't even waste your time trying to go somewhere else for better prices, it's NOT gonna happen.
