Default Fifth Gear Grind

Didn't get any bites in the driveline forum, so here I am. About once every ten times I try to shift into 5th above 80mph, the gear grinds and I have to force it in. Thinking maybe either my shifter is loose (kartboy + F/R bushings) or the 5th gear sync is damaged.

Any thoughts?

Considering you have the shifter in bushings, those would both affect your warranty. So tread carefully. First I would double check what you did, make sure its all tight, than if that does not work remove all the stuff and see if it happens stock... than take it in

well stock bushings are toast. pretty much had to cut them out. I'll get under my car next week and see in anything is catching. maybe I'll swap in the stocker.

Definatly change your tranny oil. I use amsoil severe gear 75-90 you'll need 3.7 qts for the tranny and .8 qt for the rear differential.

You'll need a torx 70 socket for the tranny . The rear diff opens using a 1/4 socket wrench.
