I have searched the AFI and found some people who say how much they have spent on turboing their cars. The problem is they are few and far between.
Is there any possible way to have a merged thread or a poll on how much you have paid/are going to pay for going rs-t?

Don't ask. I blew up my motor and I can tell ya the rebuild is damn expensive, not to mention the initial cost of the turbo kit. My wallet has a headache!

I spent about $2200 for my entire turbo set up (including clutch and flywheel), and just spent another $1300 on an ECU.
Transmission os probably next on the list after it breaks. |

I've spent close to 13K so far and I think I just blew something in my motor so I'm having a monster engine built. That will probably cost at least another 5K. And I'm still going to need a trans. to hold all that power.

I'm fully prepared to spend upwards of $15,000 on mine by the time its all said and done, but that's a few years away first. I need a house before a turbo.
I'm looking for 300 hp at the wheels daily driven, with close to or over 400 on race gas for special occasions. Who knows. Maybe by the time I'm ready to do mine, prices will have come down significantly in certain areas. |

what about a 2.0 with 2.5 heads or does that not match up right? or is it the other way around, 2.5block with 2.0 heads?
you can always stroke the 2.0, but then again you can always stroke the 2.5 ![]() |
